After a successful market experience in various international markets, both companies, Satlantis from Spain and OHB from Sweden, have signed a contract to supply together two micro satellites, based on the OHB Sweden InnoSat platform.

These satellites will embark four optical channels provided by Satlantis, from 80cm GSD optical resolution to 26km swath, infrared band coverage (up to 1,7 microns) and 12 filters in a maximum swath of 26km, providing the leading market solution in small satellite under 150kg.

The satellites will be launched in 2024, covering very specialized applications like methane emissions detection, and applications requiring a multispectral resolution of 80cm, compared to the leading worldwiew_3 satellite.

Juan T. Hernani, CEO of Satlantis

“This unprecedent performance is achieved in our 7th flight mission of our cameras, after a trajectory of 10 years of hard work with customers. OHB Sweden has provided the right agility and capabilities that complement our camera capabilities”

Benoit Mathieu, Managing Director of OHB Sweden:

“This is the fifth application of our InnoSat platform, and the demonstration of the versatility and competitiveness of our product. Our InnoSat satellite platform combines the reliability and robustness of design, based on our 30 years of heritage. The combination with the SATLANTIS camera technology is the right sweet spot for the most competitive sub-metric and SWIR solution for EO based on microsatellites.”
